Testimonials
He wasn’t just a great player but also a sweet and kind soul, a king in his own right who uplifted those around him with a positive attitude and infectious spirit. His presence will be deeply missed, but his legacy of love, heart, and kindness will live on in all of us who had the honor of knowing him." said Dywayne Green, strength and conditioning coach.
He was a team captain and a team leader. His work ethic was second to none. He was the first person to practice every day. He was in the best shape out of anybody. He had the body of an NFL cornerback. For a 19-year-old to be in as good shape as he was, it was incredible. He was very well respected. He carried himself just with the utmost of character, loved and respected by his teammates and by his coaches." said Casey Dill, director of baseball operations for California Post Graduate.
He was one of the best guys I had ever met, a super responsible dude, a very on-schedule guy. You couldn’t ask for a better roommate, either. He brought a lot of joy to our team. He brought a smile and energy that was just different. He gave us that extra push whenever our team was down. He would always be there for anybody." "It really broke me down. I tried not to show it at first to keep the team strong, It was more than just a teammate I lost. It was a brother and one of the best friends that I had." said Joel Montano, an 18-year-old first baseman who lived with Nathen in Palm Springs.
Nathen was an amazing soul with such a bright, bright future ahead of him
I’ll miss him forever :(
Braxton Lamont, close friend from high school
Nathen was the type of person to light up a room as soon as he walked in it, regardless of whether he knew nobody or everybody. He was my best friend in the entire world, and through that, I got to see his relationship with Jesus and the way he carried his faith in his heart. He worked hard for everything, and there weren’t any circumstances that prevented him from making a good one. He taught me the most about having a joyous spirit and a positive disposition toward everything. He was a leader, encourager, and a role model to everyone he encountered.
Payton Hobson, Special Friend
The joy you brought to everyone that knew you. just reading all the wonderful things that people had wrote about you is so touching. I do not have a single memory not seeing a smile on his face and would always brighten up my day.
We are a Baseball Family, Loving the days we all spent at the ball field and even as a young boy still in his car seat he would say that he wanted to be a big-league player, from there he never knew the word quit and was great at everything that he did, at 19 years old I have never met someone with that kind of drive, for the love of the game and for life, people he knew on the ball field, the Gym and Church were Family in his eyes.
Nathen touched so many and will continue with his foundation and will forever be giving to the game of Baseball.
I will love you always and forever
